Instructions: Preset Reusable Prompts for Kro
Ⅰ. What are shortcut instructions?
Shortcut instructions are like app icons on your phone's home screen — tap once, and you can directly launch a preset operation.
In Kro, a shortcut instruction is a prompt template you write in advance. Once you select it, you only need to fill in the specific content, and Kro will execute according to the template requirements. You do not need to rewrite the same long prompt every time.
For example: if you often need to translate Chinese into English, instead of saying every time, "Please help me translate the following content into English, make it sound natural and fluent, and preserve the tone...", you can save these requirements as a shortcut instruction and use it directly next time.
Ⅱ. How do you use shortcut instructions?
It only takes three steps:
Open — Next to the chat input box, click "+ More" → "Instructions" to open the shortcut instructions panel.
Choose — Select the instruction you need from the list (for example, "Copy Polishing").
Input — Paste or type the content you want to process into the dialog box, then send it.Kro will automatically process your input according to the instruction template.
Ⅲ. How do you create shortcut instructions?
Just tell Kro what you want. For example:
"Help me create a translation instruction that translates content into English."
"Create a polishing instruction to optimize the wording of my copy, and make sure my intent is expressed clearly and accurately."
"Create a summarization instruction that condenses an article into three sentences."
Kro will help you write the template content and save it automatically after you confirm it. You can also specify the detailed requirements for the template yourself, and Kro will write it according to your instructions.
Ⅳ. How do you manage existing instructions?
Method 1: Manage with natural languageYou can tell Kro at any time to manage your instructions
Edit — "Help me rename the instruction 'Three-sentence Summary' to 'Brief Summary'."
Delete — "Delete the shortcut instructions I don't want anymore."
View — "Show me what shortcut instructions I currently have."
All of these actions can be done in natural language — there is no need to remember any commands.
Method 2: Manage from the management page
You can also manage shortcut instructions manually through "Settings" → "Management Page," where you can create, edit, download, and delete them.
Tip: The more specific your instruction is, the better the result will be. For example, "Translate into English" can be further refined into "Translate into business English," and Kro will then use a more formal business style in the translation.
